What ’s your drink of the summertime ?
I’m baaAAACK!!! 👋👋 Hello friends — I’m Isabella, and I’m here once again to conduct my annual new cooler taste-test for the summer. It’s a VERY hard job, but someone has to do it!
I must say, we are absolutely spoiled for choice at the LCBO this year. There were like, a gazillion flavours I’ve never seen before — which means I now have a list of brand new faves for the sunny season ahead!
Without further adieu , here ’s what I commend for summertime 2024 :
1.Cutwater nails it yet AGAIN with an island-inspiredRum Mai Tai.
2.This cannedMalibu Piña Coladatastes like you mixed it yourself… minus all the work of course.
3.Because we’re taking it easy this summer, I was excited to try thisHappy Dad Fruit PunchHard Seltzer. It’s packed with familiar and beloved summer flavours – and is ready to drink with just a crack of the can.
4.Canadian brand Olé is making their Ontario debut this summer with their deliciousTequila Sunrise, and it’s an immediate stand-out.
5.The newSVNS Hard 7UP Original + Vodkais a definite crowd-pleaser — you can’t go wrong with a classic.
6.And while we’re on the topic of “classics”, how could I leave out everyone’s fave duoJack and Coke?
7.White Claw’s take on ahard seltzer Lemonadeis averywelcome addition to your cooler this summer.
8.White Claw’s super crisp newSurge Green Appleflavour is a big winner too.
9.For something super summery, go for thePolar Ice Berry Blizzard(because after all, “blue” is one of the top flavours of the season imo).
10.Social Lite is known for their vodka sodas, but they nailed it with their new ready-madeTom Collins.
11.Yes, yes you’re reading this right— Pabst has aStrong Iced Tea. And it’s a backyard BBQ essential.
12.Black Fly’s newRum Mojito Raspberryfour-pack is a fruity twist on a beloved cocktail.
13.It doesn’t get more tropical than Turtle Bay’s beach-inspiredRum Swizzle.
14.And while we’re talking island vibes, thisCoco Rum Originalmade with real coconut water was also a standout too.
15.Last but not least, my personal drink of the summer —Triple Bogey’s Transfusion cocktail. I hadn’t even HEARD of a Transfusion before and… wow.
