Jenna Ortega , Justin Theroux , and several other mavin are joining the anticipated sequel .

It’s finally here! On Wednesday, the first official photos from the upcomingBeetlejuicesequel were released, and they’re showcasing the return of several beloved characters and the introduction of two additions to the story.

In case you didn’t know, on Sept. 6,Beetlejuice Beetlejuicewill be released in theaters. The sequel reunites directorTim Burtonwith several original cast members from the 1988 film, includingMichael Keatonas the eponymous ghost.

Winona Ryderis also back as a now grown-up Lydia Deetz.

As isCatherine O’Haraas Delia Deetz, Lydia’s stepmother.

They’ll be joined by several stars new to the franchise, includingJenna Ortegaas Astrid Deetz, Lydia’s daughter.

AndJustin Therouxas Rory, though we don’t know too much about his character just yet.

Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci have also been cast as new characters.

As for the first-look photos just released, one is a standalone of Michael as Betelgeuse.

The second shows Catherine, Jenna, Winona, and Justin at what appears to be a graveside funeral. These costumes! Catherine’s hat, Jenna’s jacket, Winona’s glasses, and Justin’s coat areeverything.

Entertainment Weeklywas the first to report the first-look photos, and Tim Burton told the publication the sequel will chronicle a death in the Deetz family decades after the first film.

A press release for the film reveals more about the sequel’s plot, noting that an “unexpected tragedy” brings the Deetz family back to Winter River, the setting of the first film.

Last month, the title was announced, and a poster was released.
